PREPARATORY COURSE FOR ADMISSION TO GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS (PRIMARY 2)
The preparatory course for admission to government schools in Singapore for Primary 2
is designed to help international students prepare for the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) and
the Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students (S-AEIS). The course includes comprehensive instruction in English and Mathematics, focusing on the syllabus and test formats.
It is essential for students to meet the Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) test requirements and to be well-prepared for the AEIS and S-AEIS.

They also solve 1-step word problems involving addition and subtraction within 20 and perform mental calculations involving addition and subtraction. |

The syllabus introduces the concepts of multiplication and division. Students practice multiplying within 40 and dividing within 20. They also solve 1-step word problems involving multiplication and division with pictorial representations |

Learn to count amounts of money in cents (up to $1) and in dollars (up to $100). They solve 1-step word problems involving the addition and subtraction of money in dollars |

Measurement topics include measuring and comparing the lengths of objects using non-standard units and telling time to the hour or half hour. Geometry focuses on identifying, naming, describing, and classifying 2D shapes such as rectangles, squares, circles, and triangles. Students also create or complete patterns with 2D shapes based on size, shape, color, and orientation |

Upon successful completion of coursework and examination, and a minimum of 80% attendance, students will be awarded a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality by Golden Compass School.
