The world is evolving and going digital, there is a need for service professionals to upgrade their skills to support customers over various platforms in order to add value to organization and stay competitive.  Thus, there is a need to adopt new skills and knowledge to engage customers over different platforms while applying them in everyday work. To close sale to the satisfaction of the customers and after sales services are as important to build long term real and lasting customer relationships for future purchases and referrals.  The underlying aim is to generate enthusiasm in making use of various platforms to improve customer experience and resolve service challenges professionally in the retail industry.

This course will help learners acquire the ability:

  • To leverage on organisational resources to enhance customer experience
  • To understand the type of customers and their buying motivations in order to close sales according to organisational procedures
  • To implement the various type of after sales services required in packaging, delivery and inventory updates
  • To identify ways to avoid creating service challenges and to improve service performance
  • To project professional etiquette and provide go the extra mile services when receiving customers’ feedbacks from various platforms

Course Period: 3 months
 (Part time)

Average teacher-student ratio: Min (1:15), Max (1:30)

Assessment: Practical Performance, Role Plays, Oral Questioning, Workplace Observation, Written Questions, Industry Research Projects and/or feedback from workplace supervisors

Delivery method: Blended learning that combines classroom learning or practicum learning with online learning.

Graduation criteria: Attendance > 75% and pass all the assessments

Academic Level: PSLE and above

Language Proficiency: English (beginner)

Award of Certificate:
Upon successful completion of coursework and examination, and a minimum of 75% attendance, students will be awarded a Certificate in Retail by Golden Compass School and SSG.
