Cushioning the impact of COVID-19

星期四, 三月 26, 2020

1              Since the COVID-19 outbreak in late January 2020, training providers have been advised to adhere strictly to the advisories and guidelines from the Multi-Ministry Taskforce and Ministry of Health (MOH).

2              With reference to the latest measures from MOH as of 24 March 2020, SSG would like to provide further clarifications and guidelines to be observed by all SSG-supported training providers. SSG-supported training providers could continue running CET classes but should put in place measures to reduce close physical contact amongst learners by ensuring the safe distancing requirement of at least one metre apart during the conduct of their training. Training providers should limit the class size to not more than 40 learners, subject to the physical capacity of their training facility. All other measures on temperature taking, travel declaration, contact tracing records, etc. should continue to be in place.

3              Training providers could also explore conducting lessons via e-learning where feasible or staggering the timings for the training. While implementing the necessary precautionary measures, we would like to remind training providers to ensure the required quality in their training delivery and maintain the appropriate trainer to learners ratio for effective facilitation and learning experience.
